Talks this month
----------------------
Micheal Bouchard will talk about the ongoing journey of Run For Stuff, an app around motivating people to stay active by rewarding them for running and walking. With strong initial success in beta launches, including over 30k installed users, Micheal will look at what he's learned and discuss some next steps for the startup.
Alex Draper will talk about the Social Enterprise Fund, a funding organization created to provide financial support, in the form of loans, to organizations across Alberta that are developing a social enterprise. Since 2008, it has invested over $35 million in more than 65 projects.
Justin Jones will demonstrate his use of 3D modeling of underground utilities using video, 3D point clouds, and augmented reality.
We'll also briefly go over the bulletin board of community tech needs (
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TWPcHsERHgWCbbHXpyH8h7nAvktErVKFE9OgBZgBBZY/edit#gid=0), and give updates on projects and upcoming events.
